2006 SKYSCRAPER CHALLENGE

Sponsored by our new partnership with the Center for Architecture, NDHS will spark the holiday run with a Skyscraper Challenge. Next week students will create structures from ArtStraws in all grades in teams of four. Prizes will be given for tallest and most creative design. Let's see who has got skills.

SLAM POETRY

Last week we had our first SLAM Poetry event at NDHS sponsored by Working Playground. We had some great performers and celebrity judges too. With over sixty students in attendance it was a great kick off. The next SLAM event will be for Creative Writing!

SAVE DARFUR

Darfur, a western region of Sudan, is home to an estimated six million people. 400,000 people have been killed, 2.5 million are displaced, and 3.5 million are hungry. The question is how many more people will be killed or will go hungry? Now is the time to say 'no more' and start helping Darfur. New Design High School would like to be a part of 'Saving Darfur'.
